Canopies use smaller diameter side poles, stakes, ropes, and a single center pole, and are meant to be installed by the customer in grass only. Once up, canopies are rated for wind speeds up to 20mph. Canopies are very inexpensive to rent and fairly easy to install, but they perform poorly in damp conditions where the small poles are likely to sink.
