All pole tents utilize heavy duty wooden side poles, large stakes, ratchets for tension, and dual center poles (giving them their name). Pole tents are professionally installed on grass only; once up, pole tents are rated for winds of up to 55 mph. They are great general purpose tents that provide a combination of value, stability, and appearance, though they are limited by the fact that they can only be installed on grass, and individual tents cannot be connected to increase the overall size.
